In April 2020, Facebook Inc. bought a 9.9% stake in the Reliance Industries digital unit Jio platforms for a whopping $5.7 billion. As a step towards its goal, Reliance Retail Ltd plans to embed JioMart into Whatsapp in a span of six months from now. This move will get JioMart to reach the 400 million Whatsapp users of India.<\/strong><\/div>\n

The Indian retail market is projected to reach $1.3 trillion by 2025. Ambani is trying to acquire a major share of this market with the move of embedding his eCommerce platform JioMart with Whatsapp, the instant messaging App.<\/p>\n
