Gojek, the ride-hailing giant is currently working to raise $2 billion in its ongoing series F fundraiser before the year-end. Though it managed to raise $1 billion, it is still in the hunt for capital. Recently, Amazon is said to be in talks to join the current funding round to strengthen its presence in Southeast Asia. 

Conversely, Gojek’s rival Grab also announced that it would invest $150 million into artificial intelligence research to uplift its own application services. Moreover, Gojek’s president also announced that it is all set to expand into two more countries by offering a dozen more on-demand services, including medicine delivery, house cleaning, etc.
